Sinatra Home Featured in Modernism Week
Every February since its creation in 2009, 75,000 modernist enthusiasts from across the world head to the mecca of modernism, Palm Springs California, to celebrate mid century architecture and design during Modernism Week. This 10 day festival, which takes place from February 16th to the 26th, features more than 250 events including home and garden tours, films, lectures, culinary events, the vintage furniture show and sale, and much more. Frank Sinatra’s Twin Palms Estate, will be featured during several events throughout the entire celebration. Here are some events to keep your eye out for: Night at the Frank Sinatra Estate– February 19th The Sinatra Estate once known for it’s happy hours, opens its bar once again for an evening of classic mid century cocktails in honor of ‘Ol’ Blue Eyes’ himself. Frank Sinatra’s Neighborhood- The Movie Colony History Walking Tour– Various Dates Take a tour through the elegant neighborhood of the Movie Colony and see homes lived in by some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Frank Sinatra’s “Twin Palms” Estate Tour– February 23rd- Join the Palm Springs Preservation Foundation (PSPF) for a tour of Frank Sinatra’s beautiful “Twin Palms” estate, designed by modernist architect E.
